Our charity’s outreach in Queensland has expanded rapidly. In November 2017, we were helping children in 53 DFV shelters and other DFV support organisations, including 3 run by First Nations organisations. By April 2024, that number exceeded 130, including 27 run by First Nations organisations. Another supports immigrant families. These organisations are located throughout Queensland, from the Gold Coast to Weipa and west to Mt Isa.
In February 2017, Zephyr started helping children in some interstate DFV shelters (where they are often called “refuges”). By April 2024, we were providing educational support to children being care for by more than 70 DFV support organisations located in every other State and Territory.
