Our charity’s outreach has expanded rapidly. In November 2017, we were helping children in 53 DFV shelters and other DFV support organisations in Queensland, including 3 run by First Nations organisations. By June 2025, that number had grown to 150. 27 of them are run by First Nations organisations, another supports immigrant families and 2 support refugees who have experienced DFV. These organisations are located throughout Queensland, from the Gold Coast to Weipa and west to Mt Isa.
In February 2017, Zephyr started helping children in some interstate DFV shelters (where they are often called “refuges”). By June 2025, we were providing educational support to children being care for by more than 100 DFV support organisations located in every other State and Territory.
